Florida confirmed 34,570 new business formations in the 30 days through July 30, 2026, with 17,421 more filed since then and still publishing. Miami-Dade County leads the state. Every Florida county is ranked below by recent new-formation activity, updated daily from the state record.

Florida publishes new filings on a delay, so the most recent two weeks are still filling in. The last fully-settled week, July 23 to 29, recorded 13,335 new filings. In the last 7 days another 4,793 have been filed, and those are still publishing.

The 30-day column splits one window: the confirmed count, then what is still publishing. Those two make up the live 30-day total. The weekly column is a separate, older span that has finished publishing, so it stands on its own.

Reading the numbers

These counts come straight from new business filings recorded by the Florida Department of State, attributed to the county on each filing. They track formations, the count of brand-new entities, not total businesses or revenue. Florida registers hundreds of new companies every business day, so the 7-day and 30-day windows give a current read on where activity is concentrating.

Florida doesn't publish a filing the same day it's recorded. A new formation typically appears in the state's daily file five to six days after its own filing date, and the tail can stretch to two weeks. A confirmed count covers days old enough that the tail has landed, so it stops moving; a still-publishing count keeps climbing.
